Harris Hills Development in Huntsville may be moving forward.

In a Huntsville Times article today staff writer Steve Doyle indicated the proposed Harris Hills retail and restaurant development may be ready to move forward with construction. Construction of the 600-acre development at the intersection of U.S. 72 East and Moores Mill Road at the northeast edge of Huntsville had been delayed because of the economic downtown. The developer is in conversations with different restaurants to move forward with the initial construction. The plans for the development include shopping, single family and multi-family housing. These talks are another indication of Huntsville’s strong economy and that Huntsville’s economic growth is a bright spot in the nations sagging housing market.
