Huntsville Alabama to Become Nation’s Silicon Valley of Genetic research.

The Hudson Alpha Institute for Biotechnology recently  the first of ten new research facilities in Huntsville’s research Park. The institute has already attracted genetic research and production firms nationally and internationally to Huntsville.

Hudson Alpha provides unique opportunity for genetics researchers to work closely and to share information, resources. The head of the institute< Richard Myers left his position as chair of the Department of Genetics at the Stanford University School of Medicine and director of the Stanford Human Genome Center fro the position.

The institute expects to have hundreds of scientists, researchers and technical staff.
