I have attached a terrain and flood zone map. While the house is not in a flood area it is on a sloped lot and at the base of Keel Mountain. We need to carefully look for signs of water run-off or foundation problems.

 

Tax records indicated the house was built in 1973 and gives the living area as 1,490 square feet where the mls huntsville listing shows 2,407 square feet. If we get as far as making an offer, we will need to measure the house to find the correct square footage.
