National Public radio (NPR) names Huntsville Alabama as the nations best city for job prospects.

During a recent Morning Edition business report broadcast NPR stated that Huntsville was the top city in the entire country for job prospects and economic growth. NPR referenced Kiplinger's Personal Finance10 Best Cities of 2009, which ranked Huntsville No. 1. The mention of Huntsville in such a positive light is a poetic justice. Last year NPR spurred a swarm of controversy when they broadcast an ill informed complaint of Huntsville’s I 565 interstate as an example of government waste and congressional earmark projects. Huntsville officials and residents quickly refuted the comment. NPR broadcast an apology of sorts.
