The Zierdt Road area of west Huntsville Alabama is one of the hottest areas of growth in Huntsville.
The new Columbia High School is already in it’s third year of operation and the $16 million Williams Middle School is under construction.
Benton said the BRAC announcement was a major catalyst for much of the homebuilding.
The Huntsville City Planning Department are preparing for unprecedented growth in this area because it is so close to Redstone the international airport, and Cummings Research Park. There are plans for a large shopping center near the corner of I- 565 / Madison Boulevard and Zierdt Road
