My takeaway from the data is that the probability of selling without taking a substantial loss is very low. Given the current shortage of rentals due to tornado survivors you may consider renting the house until the property appreciates. You can probably get $950 to $1,050. For a short term lease insurance companies are willing to pay a 20% increase in rent and I have heard of hem paying up to a %50 increase in rent.
